Rotor:  "HOG" type made of one piece solid  high alloy steel (heat treated)  with "opti-angle" rotor knives.  High efficiency knives made of high carbon high chrome D2 tool steel.  21 knives required.  Knives are 1 1/8" thick X 28" long X 4" wide.  Rotor rpm is 540 with a 20" diameter cutting circle.

Rotor End Disc:  mounted on each end of the rotor and recessed into the heavy duty end plates.  Made of alloy steel and hardened for long life.  The disc minimizes heat buildup, eliminates excessive wear on the rotor shafts and end plates.  Also protects bearing from contamination.  Unsuppressed cleaning ability.  

Cutting Chamber:  end plates are "pocketed" for positive alignment to remove the shear and stress on bolts.  Massive downstroke bed knife deflector door hinges with 110 volt electric powered screw opening device, for easy access to cutting chamber for purging, knife change and maintenence.

Stationary Knives:  4 HC/HC D2 tool steel 20" long.

Bearings:  The rotor bearings are high load rating double row spherical roller type with a 160mm (6.299") bore.  The bearing housings are made for precision fit, and are "water cooled" to keep bearing cool in extreme operating conditions.

Screen:  drilled 3/8" diameter holes "cradle mounted" with 44% open area with electric powered screw opening device 110 volt.

Flywheel:  one massive 1630 LB 28" diameter steel flywheel sheave, with torque limiter clutch to prevent rotor damage.

Zero Speed Switch:  terminates power in event of reduction in rotor RPM'S.

Drive:  "V" belt (8 per set) "C" type drive belts.

Hopper:  Made of double walled heavy steel plate, 22" X 56" opening, hinges with 110 volt electric powered screw opening device.  Three heavy curtains.  2 slit.

Base:  floor mounted with six heavy duty leveling pads.

Granulating Capacity:  up to 3250 lbs. per hour.

Electrical Components:  3 tamperproof safety switches wired into a NEMA 12 junction box.

Discharge:  Transition for blower hook up with a 10" tube.

Floor Space:  95" wide X 91 1/2" long X 121" high     (Feed tray height is 89")
